The CELLFIE Project, developed by Dr. David Conrad at the IWK Health hematopathology lab, offers leukemia patients and their families a unique opportunity to view their blood cells. This initiative helps demystify the diagnosis and treatment process by allowing patients to see images of their cells, both healthy and cancerous, before and after chemotherapy. This visual aid fosters better understanding and empowerment. Patients also receive a lab coat, a stuffed cell toy, and a USB drive with their cell images, making them honorary pathologists during their visit.

The CELLFIE Project aims to bridge the gap between patients and the complex world of hematopathology. By providing a tangible connection to your own blood cells, you gain insight and control over your healthcare journey. This hands-on approach allows you to actively engage and witness your own treatment.

The CELLFIE project allows you to connect with your patients in ways you never could before. Be there for your patients at every step of their treatment journey with the CELLFIE Project.
